Red
It's the colour of the "
bomb". Within just 3 months that I am back in Singapore, I had already received 5 wedding invitations. Is 2008 a good year to get married or what? *shrugs* I had already missed 2 of them due to national duties. Edwin's happened during when I was on ADFAF standby. Sandra's happened during when I was in Thailand. Recently just attended Elson's at Swissotel The Stamford on last Friday, when the Formula One was kicking off for the trial run.
I must say that I am really proud of Singapore for being able to host the F1 GP. Just an island. Not even a proper race track and yet we can turn the streets into F1 tracks. The developments are just rapids. Although not 100% success because there are alot of opportunity for improvement, this is something that I can lift my head a little higher to tell the world.
Ferrari is kind of like a sore loser... If anyone of you saw the expressions on their team during their qualifying race on Saturday, when they came in first after the laps,
versus their comments after the final race on Sunday, you guys should know what I am talking about...

Two Timer
This is a familiar place. I have been here before. I can understand and speak a little of their tongue. It's all back in my memories before I was over at the Land Of Freedom. It was all 3 years back, now it is the second time that I am here...
Nothing much of it here other than work. Boring... Half of the duration here I am always not feeling well. Started off with a damn bad sore throat then followed by headache, fever and some headache and fever on & off. I should say I almost died there. I guess I am "allergic" to the air here in South-East Asia or maybe the air is just bad. Ever since leaving the States, I had been falling ill as and when frequently. Whereas during the time when I was away for the past years, I didn't even visit any doctors throughout the four seasons. The humidity is just too high, too much bacterias in the air, things get mouldy easily only after a few days and human skin pores get clogged, thus oily, and acnes manifest. (That's also the reason why you guys see most ladies in Japan, Korea, Mongolia & Taiwan have great beautiful skins.)
Oh, I should not say that this is a boring place because there are actually tonnes of entertainments here! Everything is so inexpensive that all of us being here can eat & drink like a king. Spend & shop all you want, you won't feel the pain... It's only when all adds together then you realised that you have already burst your card. Even if that's the case, I must still say that it's all worth while because you aren't able to get any of these hospitality and quantity of items here money spent as compared to Singapore. (That's the Land of Uglies)
I was actually watching BBC News on TV this one fine day while I was doing foot reflexology. It was reporting the incident about AIG's distress call and US Federal Reserve lend a helping hand of
US$85 billion. (
American International Group, AIG - It's a global corporate by the way, for those who are ignorance out there...) It was showing many
Singaporeans queueing up to terminate their policies from AIA to get back their whatever money left in there. Some got interviewed by the newscaster, their feedback was a joke! Even when the bailout was announced, people are still insisting on termination plans. I must emphasize again. AIG → Global Corporate. BBC News broadcasting → Only
Singaporeans queueing up to terminate policies. Which all sums up to → ??? You guys fill in the blanks. Imagine the whole world... Only Singaporeans are doing it! Come on ladies and gentlemen! 3 cheers for those who queued up! You were on National Television! It's US$85,000,000,000. Not
85 USA
Bi-sexual
Lions. The Thais beside me were looking at me, pointing to the TV and asked: "Singapore?" I nodded my head in disgrace and kept quiet...
*sighs*
Monkeys see, monkeys do? Kia-Su? Kia-See? Kia-Zheng Hu? Typical? Pathetic? Zero awareness of the facts. Seems that people just likes to queue. Go ask that person at the very end of the freaking extremely long line: "What are you queueing for?" He/She might just reply: "I don't know leh. I see many people queue so I queue loh. Must be good things or free gifts one lah." Is that our culture? Is that the standards?
I just hate to admit...

Pollution
Sorry. It has been about a month that I haven't been updating as I was away due to work commitment... Since 18 August 2008.
I am currently now in the
Land Of A Thousand Smiles. Nakhon Ratchasima (นครราชสีมา), Thailand. Internet access is not really an issue here but just that at times or rather, most of the time, I am not feeling well enough or have the luxury to just sit down peacefully and write about what's going on here. I will try to keep it up this weekend if time permits...
