Damned. I missed the send-off flight yesterday early morning. Argh. I hate myself for felling asleep.
Friday was the Hi-Bye ceremony that we always have when there are new rotations of manpower. All the usual stuffs. Presentation of tokens of appreciation for those out-going personnel and welcome toast to all in-coming personnel. Yes! My group of rotation will be next. Not to say that I am yearning to go back my hometown or I miss it, it's just that the environment here now forces me to make the decision of not wanting to stay anymore. The ceremony only lasted for awhile, then it was all free & easy. Some were at the pool table, some were having karaoke, some gaming Xbox, some getting drunk, the rest were just crazily having fun with those people that were leaving on Saturday. It was chaotic.
Our office building is getting some kind of renovations going on, causing us to move to another section of the building. The project will kicks off next week and will last for 45 days. It's a mess. To add on to it, 5 'pillars' of our trade are being knocked out now, leaving the ceiling held by nothing. I really can't imagine how work will be like from Monday onwards...

I didn't managed to catch the earlier flight, but I made it for the second one in the evening. Sky Harbour Airport. Lots of family & friends were there. Much bidding goodbyes were done and in to the boarding gates they go... I have forgotten how much of these I had done since, but I can now picture myself going into the boarding gates the next time round. It's close.
